A new way to study in Barcelona in summer
The UPF Study Abroad Program offers a Summer Program for undergraduate students interested in gaining knowledge in the areas of Hispanic Studies, Audiovisual Communication and Nationalism and Identity, while they are also given the opportunity to visit those places and institutions that are relevant to the summer program topic, as well as they are able to enjoy life in vibrant Barcelona for six weeks. This academic challenge will allow undergraduate students from our partner institutions to earn credits that may be transferred to their undergraduate records at their home institutions.
The UPF Summer Programs aim to provide high quality academic training in some of the UPF most renowned areas of expertise through a set of for-credit courses that have been carefully selected to meet the academic expectations of the most demanding students and academic advisors.
Each Summer Program has been thoroughly designed to become representative of the UPF and to be perfectly welded in the city of Barcelona and the Catalan territory. Also, the UPF Summer Programs are conceived to be highly demanding and have been structured to allow for enrolment in topic-based and language courses.
The UPF Summer Programs are an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in the areas of Humanities, Communication and Social Sciences, while doing field study learning and/or on-site activities. On-site learning is a comprehensive part of the academic program, and all Summer Programs have course-integrated study tours. Therefore, visits to relevant public and political institutions, museums and monuments or other special activities are included in each of our Summer Programs. Well-renowned guest speakers may contribute to make our courses an unforgettable and rewarding academic experience.
The academic guidelines of each UPF Summer Program have been closely monitored by the Dean of the competent faculty, and conceived to get students involved in Barcelona's everyday life and environment.
