Introduction to professor Alois M. Haas
Alois Maria Haas (Zürich 1934) studied germanistic, germanism, medieval studies and history in Zürich, Berlin, Paris and Munic. He had a PhD. at Zürich in 1963. Between 1969 and 1971 he was professor at the Department of Germanism at McGill University de Montreal (Canada). From 1971 he was professor of German Literature at Zürich University. Doctor honoris causa in theology at Friburg University of Switzerland in 1978. Fellow of Wissenschaftskolleg of Berlin between 1988 and 1989. From 1989, president of the Society Paracels of Switzerland.
At the moment, he is Emeritus professor at the Zürich University and he gives courses and conferences in univerities in all the world. He investigates about European mistica.
