Nota biogràfica:
Julia López López és Catedràtica de Dret del Treball i de la Seguretat Social a la Universitat Pompeu Fabra de Barcelona des de 1996. Al seu torn, és Visiting Research Scholar al Nanovic Institute de la Universitat de Notre Dame de forma anual des de 2003. També ha fet estàncies de formació a Roma (Universitat de Roma), Paris (Universitat de París-Nanterre II), Brussel ('Institut d'Estudis Europeus de la Universitat Lliure de Brussel) i a Nàpols (Universitat de Nàpols).
Actualment, està treballant en un projecte de recerca sobre "El
treball precari i els drets socials" organitzat pel Working Lives Research Institute (London
Metropolitan University) i finançat per la Comissió Europea, i és la investigadora principal del
projecte "La noció de treballador i la segmentació de drets socials "finançat pel Ministeri de
Ciència i Innovació.
