Universitat Pompeu Fabra Language Office is an administrative unit having the following functions:
· To perform counselling tasks for the university community in language and
terminology matters.
· To correct those documents in Catalan language relating teaching, management
and the institutional sphere, if necessary, sent to it.
· To manage correction of other types of documents or correction of documents
written in other languages and translations requested to it.
· To monitor the evolution of linguistic usage in the University.
· To propose measures destined to favour a normalised, high-quality use of
Catalan if necessary.
· All those tasks entrusted by the rector.
Moreover, the Language Office must counsel the teaching staff and provide it technical support to make usage of Catalan broader in the elaboration of doctoral theses and other research documents.
