//POSTING RULES FOR ARTICLES AND REVIEWS

1. Will accept critical or theoretical works in any of the three disciplines (Arts, Literature and Thought), whether they be monographic, comparative, or multidisciplinary.

2. Two basic requirements for the texts that are being reviewed: They must be critical and/or academic books and must have been published in the current year or, at most, a year earlier. Reviews of novels, poems, movies, etc. will not be accepted. However, reviews of cultural events, for example, exhibitions and festivals that have occured during the past year, will be accepted.

3. Languages: Catalonian, Spanish, English, French and Italian.

4. Extension:

a)      Articles: from 3,500 to 8,000 words.

b)      Reviews: around 1,000 words.

///1. DOCUMENT FORMAT: DIN-A4.

Margins:

  Top: 2.5 cm

  Bottom: 3.5 cm

  Left: 4.5 cm

  Right: 2.54 cm

  Symmetrical pagination 

///2. FONT TYPE: 12 point Garamond for the text and final bibliography. 10 point Garamond for footnotes, long quotations set in a new paragraph, and examples.

///3. SPACING: Single-spaced.

///4. ALIGNMENT: Right-justified.

///5. DOCUMENT TITLE: Centered on the top of the first page, in bold type capital letters, without periods and inverted commas. There should be a blank line between the title and the author's name.

///6. AUTHOR: Below the title, centered, in capital letters.

///7. UNIVERSITY: 10 point Garamond, left-justified in capital letters, italics.

///8. a. 1) KEYWORDS: There should be a blank line below the author's name and then five capitalized keywords separated by commas. The keywords should end with a period.

///8. a. 2) ABSTRACT: In the articles, after the keywords and a blank line. It will follow the word "ABSTRACT" in capital letters and a colon. The abstract must be between 100 and 150 words.

///8. b) REVIEW'S CARD: In the reviews there should be a blank line below the author's name and after that, in the following order, the reviewed book's title in italics, the author's name, the publishing company and the collection, the place and year of publication, and finally the number of pages.

//QUOTATIONS

///9. Anglo-saxon or abbreviated quotations must be used to include quotations in the body of the work, in the following way: Surname, Year: pp.

Example: Rico (1992: 140-56) or (Rico, 1992: 140-56)

///10. SHORTER THAN THREE LINES: In inverted comas(""), Garamond point 12.

Example: ...pues "su voluntad no era otra que la de convertirse en clásicos" (Egido, 1990: 14)

///11. LONGER THAN THREE LINES: single spaced, indented 1.25 cm to the left. indentation on the first line (a total of 2.5 cm) and font size 10pt, do not have to indent in the beginning of the paragraph. It will leave a blank line before and after the appointment to the body of text. If authorship is not indicated before the meeting aside, could also put in brackets at the end of it (point 10) or footer.

///12. FOOTNOTES: will be inserted with the specific choice of word program. The number will always be flown before the punctuation, never after.

 

//REFERENCES

Will be included under the heading REFERENCES (centered, in bold capitals). Entries are sorted alphabetically, with justified text, single-spaced line and hanging indent. Moreover, these guidelines must be followed:

Surname (s) [Small Caps, Fine], name [in Tiny, fine]. Title [in italics], publisher's name [the abbreviation ed., Initial of first name and surname], number of volume or volume [if any]. Place of publication [if not any, should appear the initials SL]: publisher, year.

///15. ARTICLES:
