La Ciutadella Student Residence Hall. Passeig Pujades 33-37, 08018 Barcelona. 40-minute walk to UPF-Rambla or take bus 14 (stops directly outside both hall and conference venue). Rate: EUR 74.80 (double).

La Ciutadella Youth Hostel was inaugurated in January 2001, as part of a deal with the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. The hostel accommodates students of both genres and includes 270 rooms laid out as single rooms (192), single rooms with shared kitchen facilities (24), rooms for two (36) and rooms for teachers and professors (9). There alre also rooms available designed for handicapped persons. All of the rooms include a fitted kitchen, complete bathroom, heating, telephone and free Internet connection. The bedrooms are equipped with a bed measuring 200x90 cm, armoire, writing desk, chairs, desk lamp, bookcase unit and mirror. The hostel provides the mattress with a case, blanket, pillow and bedspread. The kitchen is fitted with electrical stove plates, smoke extractor and refrigerator. Kitchen utensils consist of plates, glasses, cutlery, pots and pans, calender, oil and vinegar bottles, coffee pot, cooking utensils, a water jug... in addition to cleaning utensils: garbage container, broom and shovel and a small frame for drying clothes.

CSIC Resarcher Residence Hall. Hospital, 64. Barcelona 08001. 10-minute walk to UPF-Rambla along Hospital St. and La Rambla. Rate: EUR 61.00 (single).

The Researchers' Hall of Residence was inaugurated in October 1998, further to being fully remodelled with its original architecture respected. The Hall of Residence comprises 85 rooms including single and double rooms. All of the rooms are equipped with air conditioning and heating, TV, a complete bathroom ensuite and telephone. The rooms are fully equipped and furnished.

The hostel accommodates students of both genres and includes 150 rooms laid out as single (120) and rooms for teachers and professors (30).
