In this section you will find the list of doctoral theses completed at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, ordered according to the year in which they were completed, and within each year alphabetically by the author's surname.
The Networked Doctoral Thesis Server (Servidor de Tesis Doctorals en Xarxa or TDX) contains, in digital format, doctoral thesis completed at the universities of Catalonia and other autonomous communities. It allows remote consultation over the Internet of the full text of each thesis, and searches by author, title, subject, university at which it was produced, etc. The aims of this service, which is coordinated by the University Libraries Consortium of Catalonia (Consorci de Biblioteques Universitàries de Catalunya or CBUC) and the Supercomputing Centre of Catalonia (Centre de Supercomputació de Catalunya or CESCA) and supported by the Catalan government's Department of Universities, Research and the Information Society, are:
At present all the theses written and submitted directly in electronic format to universities that belong to this service are incorporated into the TDX server. Each university is responsible for informing its doctoral students about the project, providing them with the recommendations and the list of electronic formats accepted, and (once the theses are presented and passed) publishing and uploading them onto the TDX server. In addition, in the mid term it is planned to convert into digital format some theses that were presented in recent years in other formats (microfiche or paper).
All those presenting a doctoral thesis at UPF are entitled to participate. If you are doing so and are interested in taking advantage of this service, you will find all the relevant information on the Library website, in the section Our services / Supporting research / Publishing theses in TDX.
The theses are freely available for consultation, and no password is required to enter the system. The copyright of each thesis is protected by means of a contract. The integrity of the text is guaranteed by the security options incorporated in the storage format used: PDF. To view the full text of the theses you need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. If you do not have it, you can download it free from Adobe.
