THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Communication, which gathers the teaching staff in the field of social communication, is made up of professors and researchers devoted to higher education and basic and applied research.

It runs the doctoral programme in Social Communication, and participates in several master's degrees and postgraduate diplomas. The research carried out by the Department is developed through competition projects and agreements. The Department of Communication publishes the magazines Periodística and Formats, and is preparing its move to the civic and multimedia complex known as the Barcelona Media Park.

It provides specific teaching in the four-year degrees in Journalism and Audiovisual Communication and Advertising and Public Relations and also provides teaching in the four-year degrees in Political and Administration Sciences, and Humanities, in the five-year degree in Biology and in the engineering degree in Computer Science.
