Programme worked together by the Universitat Pompeu Fabra and the University of Konstanz.

The Department of Political and Social Sciences of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, and the Department of Politics and Management of the University of Konstanz, Germany, are offering a double degree program European Master of Government. Students will be studying one year at each institution and will receive a Master degree from each institution. At UPF students might even receive two Master degrees.

• One year of study at the University of Konstanz, one year of study at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

• Title of the Degree: "Master of Arts in Public Administration" (University of Konstanz) and "Master of Research in Political Sciences" (Universitat Pompeu Fabra).

• There are four fields of specialization. You will chose one field of specialization. Depending on the field of specialization the first year will be either in Konstanz or in Barcelona.

  0. International Relations and European Integration (IREI) (first year: Universität Konstanz)

  0. Public Policy and Comparative Politics (PPCP) (first year: Universität Konstanz)

• Language: English

• Application deadline for the academic year starting in October: April 15 of each year. Prerequisites for admission: Bachelor degree or a recognized (international) equivalent in a subject relevant to the master's program, minimum grade: at least 'gut' according to the German system or 7,0 according to the Spanish system or equivalent. Proficiency in English.

Curriculum and structure of the program:

Module 1: Courses in Political Theory (15 ECTS) Module 2: Courses in Methods/Research Design (18 or 19 ECTS) Module 3: Courses or seminars in the field of specialisation (30 to 32 ECTS) Module 4: Optional courses in Political Science or related disciplines (24 to 26 ECTS) Master thesis (30 ECTS)
