Verge Mestre, Tània

Studies and academic degrees:

PhD in Political Sciences at the Complutense University and the University Research Institute Ortega y Gasset (Instituto Universitario de Investigación Ortega y Gasset, IUIOG, Madrid). She has obtained the Diploma in Social Science Data Analysis at the University of Essex. She graduated in Political Science and Public Administration in 2000 at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. She has been Research Fellow in Politics at the University of Sussex and done predoctoral stays at the Yale University and the University of Essex. She has work at the Centre d'Estudis d'Opinió de a Generalitat de Catalunya (CEO). Currently she participates in various research projects, among them:  "Party Patronage in Contemporary European Democracies", co-directed by Peter Mair (EUI) and Petr Kopecký‎‎‎ (Leiden University), "Elites políticas autonómicas en España", directed by Xavier Coller (UPO), and "La ciudadanía europea en España: comportamiento electoral y actitudes políticas hacia el proceso de  integración europea", directed by Mariano Torcal (UPF).

Political representation, political parties, gender and politics, multi-level system, political behaviour
