Three easy steps to finding journal articles:
Consult the catalog or databases
Locate the journal
Access the document
If you have the article reference
you have to search for the title of the journal in catalog and check if the relevant issue is available.
If you do not have the reference of the articles
you have to search in databases.
If you are looking for articles about a particular subject or author, you can consult in Metacercador the different databases and electronic journals that the Library has, which in many cases offer the electronic full text. For each database you will find a summary of its content and, in many cases, a user guide.
Remember that the database of E-TOC of the CBUC (Consortium of Academic Libraries of Catalonia) allows you to search the summaries of almost 13,000 journals. It includes electronic forms that help you use the interlibrary loan service automatically.
Once you have found in the catalog the information about the journal you are looking for, click on the title of the issue you ae interested in.
If you are interested in the paper format, take note of its location and the issues available:
If you locate a journal that is accessible via Internet, you can consult it direct by clicking on
Consider the access instructions and terms and conditions of use for connecting to the electronic resources.
If the journal in paper format is in the Library, where you are, you can go and get it from the shelf. In most cases, to find the journal on the shelf you will have to go to the Journals section (called Hemeroteca (Hem)). Consult the planning of the corresponding library for guidance.
If the document is at another UPF Library building, you can request in as follows:
