How to find books, journals, audiovisuals, etc. in three steps: 1st step Consult the catalog Arrow 2nd step Locate the document Arrow 3rd step Access the document

1st step Consult the catalog

The catalog informs you as to all the documents you can find at the UPF Library.

You can search by author name, title, subject and keyword, among others.

From the icon Help on the catalog search page, you can get access to help screens that offer a detailed explanation.

Also available to you is an explanatory leaflet: Consulting UPF bibliographic catalog (Spanish pdf).

2nd step Locate the document

Once you have found in the catalog the information on the document you are seeking, pay attention to its location , what status it is in and which is the loan type of the document.

3rd step Access the document

FletxaIf you locate an accessible resource via Internet -indicated in the catalog as Location field: Recurs electrònic d'accés per Internet (electronic resource Internet access) or CD-ROM en xarxa (CD-ROM Network)-, you can consult it directly by clicking on the web address.

Bear in mind the access instructions and conditions of use to connect to the electronic resources.

FletxaIf the document is at the Library building where you are and is AVAILABLE you can go and get it from the shelf.

To find the document on the shelf you must know which section it is in and its Call Number. Library documents are grouped into sections and within each section they are ordered by subjects according to a universal classification, the Library of Congress Classification (LCC). In order to get your bearings, see the map of the corresponding Library building.
