| Centre for European Labour Market Research (CELMR) It became an official research center in January 2000. Then became part of the University of Aberdeen Business School (UABS). Its research program reflects both the interests of the contributors and the academics in this field of investigation and includes topics as education, skills and labor mobility; inequality in the labor market; health and work; the public sector and wage determination. |

| CLS (Centre for Labour Market and Social Research in Aarhus) It was founded in 1993 as a research center for empirically based research in labor market and social issues. The CLS was started as a research center under the Danish National Research Foundation. The center is now hosted by the University of Aarhus (Department of Economics) in cooperation with the Aarhus School of Business and the Danish National Institute of Social Research. |
| HIVA (Higher Institute for Labour Studies) It is a research institute founded in 1974, attached to the Catholic University of Leuven (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven). HIVA's research activities are carried out in support of government policy and focus on problems facing employees, underprivileged and disadvantaged groups, social organizations and movements in society. The research activities are organized into four sectors: work and organization; education and labor market; social and economic policy; and sustainable development. |
| Institute for Labour Research (ILR) It was established at the University of Essex in March 1996 as a vehicle to focus and promote economic and social research into the evolution of labor market structure, into unemployment and its links with technical and structural change, etc. The main project title is "Labour Market Dynamics in a Changing Environment", but there are individual research projects too. |
| IZA (Institute for the Study of Labor) It is a private, independent research institute, which conducts nationally and internationally oriented labor market research. It operates as a nonprofit limited liability company. IZA also takes an active part in international research networks. | Canadian Labour and Business Centre (CLBC) It was established in 1984 and has evolved as a center for business labor dialogue and consensus building. In addition to labor and business, the Center enjoys active Board participation from federal, provincial and territorial governments, and from universities and community colleges. |
| Center for Labor Economics The Center for Labor Economics was established in the fall of 1997 to promote economic research on the programs and policies that affect the labor market. It is attached to the University of California, Berkeley. |
| Center for Labor Research and Education As part of the Institute of Industrial Relations (IIR) and the Institute for Labor and Employment (ILE), the UCLA Center for Labor Research and Education plays a unique role as a bridge between the university and the labor community in Southern California. It is an important information resource between unions and workers. An advisory committee comprised of about forty Southern California labor leaders (representing more than one million members in the public and private sector) provides advice and support for the Center. |

| Institute for Labor and Employment (ILE) It is a new research program involving different campus, which belongs to the UCLA and the UC Berkeley, that is devoted to studying, and finding solutions for, problems of labor and employment in California and the nation. It expands upon the existing Institutes of Industrial Relations (IIRs) at UC Berkeley and UCLA. |
| Institute of Labor and Industrial Relations (ILIR) The ILIR at the University of Michigan was created in 1957 to provide a vehicle for research and a focus within the University on issues pertaining to employment and labor relations. The Institute brings research together with practice to address a wide variety of topics, from labor relations and labor market structure to services in the workplace, employment discrimination, and the "underground" economy. |
