It provides access to 1.000 international and local newspapers, 3.000 journals, 300 newswires, 10.000 webs in more than 20 languages, 30.000 company reports and also more than 4.000 photographs.  You have available 100 new titles of electronic books about economics and business published between 2002 and 2005.
Remember that is a service with access to 4.300 books about social sciences and humanities. It allows you to make searches combining words of the full text of a book or the full text of all the books at the same time. It also allows the user to find similar books to the ones retrieved as a result of a search. Important notice: if you are interested in borrowing books, you should make a registration as a user. The loan is for 8 hours and, if you do not return the book, the document is automatically returned after this period.

 UNIDO Indstat3: Industrial statistics database, 2005 edition. Industrial statistics database. The data are arranged according to the ISIC at the three-digit level. The number of countries covered is 180 and 29 industries in the manufacturing sector. Chronological scope: 1963-2003. Annual update. Data can be exported as Excel, ASCII or CSV files.

Confederación Española de Cajas de Ahorros: normativa financiera Database about Spanish guidelines (national and relating to autonomy), Community, international and Latin-American, interesting for the savings banks. It includes the full text of the applicable orders in the original and updated version (daily updated, except in the case of the Latin-American orders). It also includes jurisprudence. It has a powerful search engine which allows you to look for the orders and the sentences in different ways and, in the case of the more important orders, you can also look for the articles.

Economic and financial affairs Web site of the Directorate General for the Economic and Financial Affairs of the European Comission (DG ECFIN). It allows you to consult the publications of this Directorate General. We highlight the bimonthly journal European Economy (1970--), which publishes a wide range of reports, studies and analysis. The electronic version is free of charge. It offers an alert service to receive notifications every time they make a new publication.

 The guide Information resources for the teaching is a new tool dedicated to the academic staff of the UPF. The aim is to facilitate the consult and the access to information resources related to teaching and learning, and in general, to all the aspects of the teaching innovation.

| New version of Interlibrary loan software |
Since last 29th September, a new version of the interlibrary loan software has come into operation. This new version, made with free software, means a modernization of the application and it incorporates improvements in the search made by the users.
It allows you to change your password and to make the searches also in Spanish and English. |

| Thesis |
TDX (Online Doctoral Thesis Server) Database which provides electronic access to the full text of the thesis and dissertations presented at universities in Catalonia and in some other Spanish universities. At present, the number of consults is more than 55.000 every month. It allows to construct searches by author, title, subject, university, etc.

The last month of September, the bibliographic collection of the Library reached 500.000 items of monographs, a number achieved in a trajectory of fifteen years, the same years of the University. This collection is a significant example of scientific and cultural wealth at the service of the academic community.
