Resources
Arrow PsycINFO Bibliographical database about psychology created by the American Psychological Association. It includes complete bibliographical references and article summaries published in 2000 international journal, dissertations, book citations and reports. It provides the fulltext of about 550 journals. Chronological scope: from 1872 (journals) and 1987 (the rest of the materials). Weekly update. Arrow Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection Database with the fulltext of 550 scientific journals about psychology and psychiatry from 1965. Available during the year 2005.

Arrow JSTOR The Library has subscribed the Arts & Sciences III collection, so now we have three collections:

- Arts & Sciences I: 117 titles about economics, history, political science and sociology, also some titles about ecology, mathematics and statistics

- Arts & Sciences II: 122 titles about economics, history, archaeology, classics, Asian, African, Latin American, Middle Eastern and Slavic studies.

- Arts & Sciences III: 120 titles about language and literature, music, art history, architecture, film, performing arts, folklore and religion. This collection will be complete by the end of 2005.

You can consult the list with the available journals in these collections.

New search engines

Arrow Google Scholar Search engine which enables you to search specifically for scholarly literature. You will find journal articles, thesis, books, preprints, technical reports, etc. from academic editors, professional societies and universities. However, the user has to consider that if there is a link to a service that asks for username and password, if the UPF Library has not subscribed it, the documents will not be available.

Arrow Inomics is an Internet service especially tailored to the needs of economists. At this site you can find job openings for economists, conference announcements, a human-edited directory as well as a database of research papers in economics.

Arrow SMEALSearch a service from the Smeal College of Business at Pennsylvania State University.This is a specialized service that searches for and indexes academic business documents that are in either PDF or PostScript (PS) formats.The search engine crawls websites of universities, commercial organizations, research institutes and government departments to retrieve academic articles, working papers, white papers, consulting reports, magazine articles, and published statistics and facts.

Thesis
Arrow TDX (Online Doctoral Thesis Server) Database which provides electronic access to the full text of the thesis and dissertations presented at universities in Catalonia and in some other Spanish universities. At present, the number of consults is more than 55.000 every month. It allows to construct searches by author, title, subject, university, etc. If you have presented your thesis at the UPF and you are interested in publishing it at the TDX, please contact Elena Blanco. During the latest months, the following thesis from the Economics and Business Department of the UPF have been published:
